Gadgets and Accessories I’ve Bought Recently

2026-02-03

I’ll start by saying that this kind of article probably doesn’t get read much.

That said, I’m expecting a bit of unexpected income, so I’ve been buying and trying out various things.

Spigen Pixel Watch 4 41mm Case

Despite all the things I said in the previous article, I ended up settling on this after all.

As a product, it’s basically just a protective frame around the display, and at 3,200 yen, it honestly feels expensive for what it is.

That said, I’ve never really grown to like the distinctive roundness of the Pixel Watch, so this was more of a compromise.

The Spigen Pixel Watch 4 41mm Integrated Case has the same issue—the cheap-looking texture is hard to ignore.

It feels like once something is labeled “for sports,” being cheap-looking is somehow forgiven—but I really can’t accept that.

Bandletic 2025 New Google Pixel Watch Band – for Pixel Watch 1/2/3/4 (41mm)

I tried several bands, but in the end, magnetic bands really are convenient.

At around 3,000 yen, it’s probably cheap for a band. The texture is decent enough.

Since I spend long hours typing on a laptop every day, thick clasps on the underside of bands tend to hurt and make work uncomfortable.

With this magnetic type, the clasp doesn’t stick out much, keeping thickness to a minimum, which makes it acceptable for me.

Looking back, it’s hard to believe I used to work wearing bulky watches without any issues.

CPU Stand with Casters – mugenbo

This was recommended by Da Vinci Osoreyama from Omocoro, so I decided to try it.

BHB Employees Share Their Favorite Desk Gadgets

I assembled it and placed my PC on it. It’s probably better than nothing.

That said, since I hardly do video production anymore, I almost never turn on my desktop PC, so I haven’t really felt the benefits yet.

That’s entirely on me—the product itself is perfectly fine.

MITER Leather Cover for Sony Walkman NW-A307 / A306 / A303 / A300

The YouTube Music app on the Pixel Watch sometimes fails to launch.

Even if it worked perfectly, battery limitations mean I wouldn’t use it that often anyway.

So I still always carry my DAP, the A306, when I go out. The size and build quality are just right.

Until recently, I was using a cheap clear case, but the side buttons were stiff and unpleasant.

Switching to a leather cover was a great decision. It’s not cheap, but the matte leather finish feels premium without looking flashy.

Most importantly, the side buttons are easy to press.

The downside is that gesture controls become difficult due to the thickness, but given the device’s performance, button operation is more practical anyway.

K&F CONCEPT Screen Cleaner

MacBook screens get dirty surprisingly easily due to how thin the body is.

I tried this screen cleaner after seeing it recommended somewhere, and it works reasonably well.

It seems to be sold out now, but similar products are everywhere, so any equivalent should be fine.

Tinotenda! Battery Checker

I use a lot of battery-powered devices, so I wanted something simple to check remaining charge.

This was the cheapest option, and it works perfectly fine.

Since it only checks conductivity, it’s more than sufficient.

ESR iPad Air 13-inch Case (for M3/M2, 2025/2024 models)

I still use my iPad Air as a secondary display all the time.

The cable-free connection experience is fantastic—this is definitely one area where Macs shine.

I previously used the ESR iPad Air 13-inch Case (M3/M2, 2025/2024), but the steepest angle still wasn’t enough for sub-display use.

That frustration pushed me to upgrade to the higher-end model with nine adjustable angles.

The angle flexibility is great, but it’s noticeably heavy—probably due to extra magnetic features I didn’t really need.

Honestly, just adding more angle grooves would have been enough.

New Nintendo 2DS LL

This one’s more of a bonus purchase.

I picked up a used New Nintendo 2DS LL for 24,000 yen, and thankfully it arrived in great condition.

Used game prices have been rising rapidly lately—who knows how far that trend will go.

That’s about it. Hopefully this was useful to someone.
